Nobody knows what the Veep does day-to-day. Tie votes in the Senate are very rare and that's the only real, Constitutional power that the Vice President has. For example, Truman was mostly clueless about the doings of Roosevelt 'till he inherited the Big Chair. It's up to the President to decide how much the Veep does.

It turns out that all sorts of leftie types on "teh intertubes" have latched onto the notion that Trig, Sarah Palin's baby, is actually her grandson by her daughter Bristol. All this based on a couple of pictures where her 16-year-old daughter has a little belly fat. The really pathetic thing here is that it's not just the screaming brats over at Kos ... it's establishment types like Andrew Sullivan. For some details on this, see here
